Megan Fleiner is a performer, choreographer, and teacher. She was a BFA Dance Major at Minnesota State University, Mankato and graduated summa cum laude in May 2019. She trained at Jane Taylor Academy of Dance for 4 years, Just For Kix for 5 years, and Bridget’s Dance Conservatory for 11 years in Austin, Minnesota. She was also a member of the Austin Packer Varsity Competitive Dance Team for 3 years and placed 4th at the State Dance Team Tournament 2 years in a row. Her lyrical/contemporary duet piece “Exposed” and her modern solo piece “The Last Sip” were selected and featured in the Spring Faculty Dance Concert 2017 and Spring Faculty Dance Concert 2018 at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She performed in Washington, D.C. at the Kennedy Center with Dan Stark’s Peek piece as part of the ACDA. Megan was also part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival performing once again Dan Stark’s Peek piece. Upon graduating, she started teaching at The Dance Conservatory of Southern MN in Mankato and New Ulm. Megan has performed works by Daniel Stark, Julie Kerr Berry, Melissa Rosenberger, Joe Crook, Allison Doughty Marquesen, Ruben Del Valle, Zenon Dance Company, Marciano De Silvas, and Trump Card. As a teacher, Megan has helped assist Bridget’s Dance Conservatory’s Junior Competition Line. She has also choreographed a solo piece for Bridget’s Dance Conservatory which has competed at dance competitions in the cities and received placement and awards. She has also taught summer dance workshops and was the dance instructor for the summer daze program at the YMCA in Austin, MN. As a leader, she was captain of her studio competition line for 8 years. Throughout her dance experience, she has received multiple awards including Performance for Zenon Dance Company and Marciano de Silvas, Freshmen Talent Grant, Heather Habeck Award Just For Kix, Intensity Award, All Out Award, Exceptional Skill Award, Silent Dancer Award, and Dancer of the Year. She has been teaching at Evolve for 2 years and earned top overall scores for her choreography, she loves being back at her home studio!
