About the Instructors;
Ms. Barbara-
Barbara Dudley has over a decade of experience teaching dance and has studied dance for
21 years.  Some of the disiplines she has studied and learned are; tap, jazz, ballet, pointe,
modern, yoga, pilates, musical theater, hip-hop, lyrical, & zumba.  She competed on the
junior & senior company while dancing at B.D.C. earning top awards and honors. Barbara
also competed jazz, contemporary, & musical theater solo's & duets in the past. She
danced such lead roles as Dew Drop in the Nutcracker.  Barbara is energetic, patient, &
kind and just a wonderful teacher and mentor to all the students.  Barbara makes dance
fun and enjoyable for all the children.  She has also taught dance at DD's Dance Studio in
the cities! Barbara Teaches our youngest students the Twinklestars!
Owner/Instructor; Ms. Bridget Halvorson-  
Bridget started her dance training at the age of four at Joyce Matthies Dance Centre located in Albert Lea MN.
There she was a member of the dance ensemble for 5 years and a principal dancer for 3 years. She first started
teaching and choreographing for Joyce's competitive junior jazz ensemble, solo's, duets, & hip-hop routines,
which won several awards; such as, first place at a nationals.   Bridget went on to study dance at the prestigious
Point  Park University in Pittsburgh PA. Focusing on ballet, jazz, & modern.  Point Park University is one of the
best dance schools in the nation training with top instructors such as; Douglas Bentz, Judith Leifer, Ron Tassone,
Susan Stowe, Marion Petrov, and several others.  Then she began teaching at “Mirror Image Dance Academy” in
West Bend Wisconsin, which is one of the largest dance studio‘s in the Midwest. Their she taught classes to
children preschool through advanced.  She then auditioned for the Minnesota Ballet Company of Duluth and was
offered a contract in the spring of 2001.  Bridget started her own dance school “Bridget’s Dance Conservatory” in
the fall of 2001.  

She choreographs around 80 dance routines per year, attends three competitions, produced a full-length
Nutcracker, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Alice In Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, & Swan Lake. Bridget attends workshops
annually, constantly striving to improve and learn more. Some of the workshops she has attended in the past
include; Radio City Music Hall Rockette Experience, Dance Olympus, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater master classes,
Gus Giordano‘s Jazz Dance World Congress, The Pulse, with; Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Dave Scott, Brian
Friedman, & Chris Judd.  She has also studied one on one with ex-Larkin dancer Trump Card.  Her combined
experience dancing, choreographing, & teaching total over 33 years.  Her platinum winning choreography is very
cutting edge, creative, fun. Her students & choreography has won numerous high score awards, cash prizes, and
several special awards such as; fabulous feet (tap,) best showmanship, best technique, most entertaining, most
classy, best intensity, emotional execution, best precision, most age appropriate, dare to be different, best
creative character, & most creative choreography several times.  She  has choreographed for Riverland
Community College Theater and Summerset Theater in Austin for plays such as; Rent, Sound of Music, & White
Christmas, The Little Mermaid.
 Many of her previous students have gone on to study dance; Megan Fleiner is a
dance major at MN. State Un., Madison Klein is a captain & member of the MN. State Un. Maverick dance team
and persuing a dance minor, & Chase Peterson was a top dancer and competitor at Larkin Dance Studio and is
now dancing at the University of Southern California Kaufman Center!
Ms. Megan
Megan Fleiner is a performer, choreographer, and teacher. She was a BFA Dance Major at Minnesota State
University, Mankato and graduated summa cum laude in May 2019. She trained at Jane Taylor Academy of Dance
for 4 years, Just For Kix for 5 years, and Bridget’s Dance Conservatory for 11 years in Austin, Minnesota. She
was also a member of the Austin Packer Varsity Competitive Dance Team for 3 years and placed 4th at the State
Dance Team Tournament 2 years in a row. Her lyrical/contemporary duet piece “Exposed” and her modern solo
piece “The Last Sip” were selected and featured in the Spring Faculty Dance Concert 2017 and Spring Faculty
Dance Concert 2018 at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She performed in Washington, D.C. at the Kennedy
Center with Dan Stark’s Peek piece as part of the ACDA. Megan was also part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival
performing once again Dan Stark’s Peek piece. Upon graduating, she started teaching at The Dance Conservatory
of Southern MN in Mankato and New Ulm. Megan has performed works by Daniel Stark, Julie Kerr Berry,
Melissa Rosenberger, Joe Crook, Allison Doughty Marquesen, Ruben Del Valle, Zenon Dance Company,
Marciano De Silvas, and Trump Card. As a teacher, Megan has helped assist Bridget’s Dance Conservatory’s
Junior Competition Line. She has also choreographed a solo piece for Bridget’s Dance Conservatory which has
competed at dance competitions in the cities and received placement and awards. She has also taught summer
dance workshops and was the dance instructor for the summer daze program at the YMCA in Austin, MN. As a
leader, she was captain of her studio competition line for 8 years. Throughout her dance experience, she has
received multiple awards including Performance for Zenon Dance Company and Marciano de Silvas, Freshmen
Talent Grant, Heather Habeck Award Just For Kix, Intensity Award, All Out Award, Exceptional Skill Award,
Silent Dancer Award, and Dancer of the Year. She plans to continue to further her career in dance by auditioning
to be in a dance company and help spread the love of dance to other aspiring dancers or to those who enjoy the art
itself. She is so excited to be back at her home studio as an instructor this next year!
